Early Learning Nation featured Crane research that looked at when and how children’s media use can have positive effects on language and literacy skills. The research study was authored by Drs. Rebecca Dore, Jessica Logan, Tzu-Jung Lin, Kelly Purtell, and Laura Justice.

Crane’s associate director of policy and external affairs Jamie O’Leary was quoted speaking about legislation that would remove the retention provision of Ohio’s third-grade reading guarantee.

Crane faculty associate Dr. Arya Ansari wrote about a federal grant he received to study how school characteristics (think: teacher retention and professional development) and classroom processes (think: teacher-student interactions and academic rigor) combine to shape children’s learning.
