New mission statement for Crane and Schoenbaum Centers

During our last strategic planning process, faculty and staff of the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy and the Schoenbaum Family Center offered key insights that shaped our new mission statement and language around our work. It was clear that the unifying reason behind why we do this work has not changed: it’s about the children, and every child’s right to reach their potential. What continues to evolve is how we do this work – expanding the breadth and depth of expertise of early childhood issues and how we apply that knowledge in ways that inspire meaningful action and change.

OUR COMMITMENT: We value every child’s unique and extraordinary capability to grow, learn, and thrive. We strive to bring the best evidence and ideas forward so that all children – from birth to toddlerhood, preschool and beyond – have equitable opportunities to be nurtured, supported, and appreciated for their unique potential.
