Researchers: Tell us how you use technology in your school-based research

Two women talk to each other seated at a long table in front of a laptop computer.

Ohio State researchers are collecting information about researchers’ technology use when conducting their school-based research. This survey is part of their new research project, Collaborating Researchers & Educators Apply Technology to Establish Evidence-Based Practices (CREATE-EBP).

Our goal is to learn as much as possible about how researchers use participant-facing technology for their school-based research. What participant-facing and data collection technologies/platforms and digital tools have you used? How have you used and would you like to use technologies and digital tools in your research? What challenges have you encountered in using these technologies? What solutions and lessons learned can you share with colleagues? The answers to these questions can give us a better understanding of how to navigate research surrounding these topics and ultimately provide better, more specialized support for researchers!

Why participate?

  • Help us learn more about researchers’ technology use in school-based research
  • Anonymous responses
  • Help the field learn more about educational research
  • Get study findings first via an executive summary and benefit from your colleagues’ responses!
  • Chance to win a $150 Amazon gift card!

Who is eligible?

We invite researchers from various academic disciplines and in various types of positions to respond to the survey. If you are a researcher who conducts research that takes place in school or other educational spaces and includes teachers, students, and/or other education professionals as participants, you can participate!

The survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete and will be available until May 5, 2025.

Please share this page with other researchers you know! Additionally, you can download a PDF poster file to share with others.
