Emily Byron

Emily works as a research assistant for the SMALL Talk project, studying language development in children from low-income households. She has also worked with the University of Pittsburgh's Learning Research and Development Center on projects studying teacher discourse and student discussions in middles school and high school classrooms. Emily received her BA in Linguistics, Japanese, and Quechua from the University of Pittsburgh, and hopes to return to graduate school to continue studying language acquisition and language education.
