Logan Pelfrey
Logan currently manages the Longitudinal Peer Social Networks and Early Language Development (LYLE) and Promoting Equitable Engagement and Relationships through Speech (PEERS) projects. These studies broadly explore how preschool classroom social networks evolve over time using state of the art sensing systems to collect continuous proximity and language environment data with children and teachers throughout the school year. In addition, the PEERS project includes the development and testing of a play-based peer-mediated intervention designed to maximize language input from peers for children with delays in their language development. Logan is a doctoral student in the College of Education and Human Ecology. His research interests include the integration of technology into preschool settings, and exploring how children develop through play.
