Megan Wood
Megan Wood is a Research Technician for the STAR 4 (Sit Together And Read) program. STAR 4 is a program designed to encourage and strengthen young children’s knowledge and awareness of print. Megan is an educator and researcher. She has contributed to several Crane Center projects including Let’s Know! 2, Read It Again!, Summer Success, and STAR 4. Megan spent over 10 years as an elementary classroom teacher. Megan uses her background in teaching and her reading specialist certification to revise and develop curriculum, create trainings for educators and caregivers of young children, and support ongoing research with the Crane Center. Megan earned her Master of Education in Instructional Leadership, with a concentration in Literacy, Language, and Culture, from the University of Illinois Chicago.
