Mido Aly

Mido Aly is the project coordinator for the Kindergarten Transition Practices (KTP) Project, a multi-million-dollar IES-funded study on transitioning to kindergarten. Mido is motivated by work that focuses on improving the lives of children and families, and is especially interested in research that looks at students in historically marginalized communities. Mido has a degree in political science from the University of Chicago, though he is a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Prior to coming to OSU, Mido was the education specialist for The Buckeye Ranch, where he worked to ensure that children in foster care across Ohio were afforded a quality education. When not at work, Mido enjoys cooking, reading, and playing board games.
