Rebecca Dore, PhD

Rebecca Dore is the Director of Research at the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy. In this role, she provides long-term leadership of Crane research endeavors and day-to-day support for center research activities. Her primary research interests are focused on children’s engagement with and learning from digital media. This line of research explores the role that media plays in child development, as well as how we can use media to best promote learning in both formal and informal settings. As a developmental psychologist, she is also broadly interested in early cognitive development, including home and classroom characteristics that influence developmental trajectories and learning, particularly in the domain of language and literacy.
