Zhiling Shea
Dr. Shea is a postdoctoral researcher in Ohio State’s Early Literacy and Learning Lab. She is currently part of the Nemours BrightStart! research project. Her research focuses on early educational policies and programs by applying theories, using diverse methods and leveraging multiple datasets. Specifically, she examines child literacy development issues including curricular practices, quality of teacher-child interaction and classroom environments, as well as peer effects. Dr. Shea’s research extends to investigating policies at the school, state and federal level, with a particular focus on children challenged by multiple categories of disadvantage.
